Community Service Program
|
| |
Our Community Services Program is a stepping- stone on the path to a job in the community. Work habits and behaviors are evaluated as the first step for many individuals entering CEI through Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Consumers receive instruction and input on the skills they will need in the competitive job market during the "Work Evaluation" step and into "Work Adjustment" step of the program. Each program is based on an individual basis to best suit the consumers' needs. The third step of the Community Service Program are the "Employment Skills Training Classes." These classes assist in teaching job readiness skills, basic computer concepts, basic reading & literature, basic money management, community enclaves, and more life-long learning to promote successful community employment.

Community Integration Program

| |
The Community Integration Program is designed to provide day services to individauls with disabilities. There are two areas of this program.
Day Habilitation is for those individauls for whom working may not be an option. This program includes learning daily living skills, self help skills, manual dexterity and fine motor skills development, current events, exercise, art, and music. Our consumers learn how to enjoy and appreciate the experiences of living in today's diverse society with both the security of a well-trained staff and the sense of personal freedom. The gateway to self-sufficiency and independent living skills opens here!
Day Support provides piece work and a secure place where individuals with disabilities can work at their own pace, earn a paycheck and feel the satisfaction of a job well done. Tasks are often broken down into 1 or 2 step processes to aid consumers' understanding and to assure success for each person.
In order to provide tasks for our cosumers, we are always looking for ways to partner with local businesses. CEI depends on contracts from the community in order to provide work for our production center. Perhaps we can be of service to your company in one of the following ways:
Addressing, Bagging, Gluing, Kits (All Types), Assembly, Shrink Wrapping, Parts Assembly, Weigh & Count, Pasting, Boxing, Packaging, Collating, Envelope Stuffing, Labeling, and much more!
